It’s 1913 and women have been campaigning for suffrage for 65 years with little progress to show. But a brash young Quaker, Alice Paul, is done asking for the vote — she’s demanding it. Alice fights the police, the press, and elder suffragists themselves to create a militant feminist movement for a true democracy.
